A New Glow
The VI Peel dissolves your top layer of skin using a combination of chemicals, making the underlying healthy skin visible. The process is typically pain-free and takes about 30 minutes. We will cleanse your skin and then apply the peel in multiple layers.
The first layer may cause some numbness or tingling on your skin. The subsequent layers of the peel should be painless, but your provider will ensure you are comfortable throughout the process. Your skin will begin to peel within 72 hours of treatment and finish peeling within a week or so. The heaviest peel days are days three to five. You will also go home with individualized peel instructions on the VI peel app and post-peel products to use within the following week.
Real Results
Avoid direct sunlight, makeup, and scented washes until the skin has fully healed. Use all the aftercare products supplied to you and follow the instructions on the VI Peel app. Allow up to seven days to make a full recovery.
Use sunscreen and recommended skin care products between peels. For best results, return every 4-6 weeks for additional treatments, usually in a series of three to four peels. Seasonal maintenance is recommended after that.
A rare risk of the VI Peel is possible scarring and hyperpigmentation.
VI Peels are not recommended when you are expecting or nursing.
VI Peels are typically pain-free.
Risks will vary based on the individual and various peel ingredients. Some risks may include swelling, redness, a burning sensation or blistering, scarring, or hyperpigmentation. We will discuss your individual needs at your consultation and do our best to avert these risks during your treatment.

Because VI Peels are seen as an aesthetic procedure, insurance usually does not cover it.
Although both chemical peels and microdermabrasion procedures are regarded as exfoliation methods, microdermabrasion uses physical exfoliation, whereas chemical peels use a chemical process to remove old skin cells.
Laser treatments, microdermabrasion, and VI Peels all produce similar results with varying degrees of pain and recovery times.
